Karen Higashi-Reynolds, O.D.

Dr. Reynolds received her optometric training from the prestigious Southern California College of Optometry in Fullerton, California. One of the highest compliments she received was from a staff doctor who said she needed to serve the public in private practice, since patients loved the care they received from her. As a private practice practitioner she continues to provide the special care that her patients enjoy and deserve.
Education is very important to Dr. Reynolds. She is continually attending seminars that allow her to learn about the newest treatments, equipment and optical materials. This allows her to provide the exceptional care that her patients deserve. Her optometric passion is providing her patients with corneal reshaping. She is one of the most experienced practitioners in Colorado.
Though born and raised in California, Dr. Reynolds enjoys living in Colorado. She lives with her husband, Gary, their two children, two dogs, cat, and goldfish in the beautiful community of Mountain Shadows. Dr. Reynolds enjoys her children's activities and can be found at the hockey arenas, soccer fields and ski resorts around Colorado. One of the benefits of private practice is that she is able to volunteer in her children's classes on a regular basis.
Another passion of Dr. Reynolds is volunteering for the Healthy Athletes Opening Eyes program of the Special Olympics. As a Clinical Director for the Healthy Athletes Opening Eyes she helps coordinate the vision screenings for the Special Olympic athletes.
